BMW has just announced its new 2015 BMW X4 ($48,000) but I have to ask, if it is really necessary. You have to think of the X4 as the crossover version of the X3. Basically it’s the X3’s counterpart, just like the X6 can be considered the counterpart to the X5. While the front of the X4 is almost identical to the X3, the rear slopes to a tail for a classic crossover silhouette. Other differences include lower sitting positions for passengers and driver, and a lower roofline of almost 1.5 inches. The X4 will come with a 240-hp, 2.0 liter N20 with a 300-hp 3.0-liter N55 option. 18 inch wheels are standard but you can go for a more aggressive stance with up to 20 inch options.
