Adsum has just come out with a beautiful bookshelf speaker; The Adsum Audio Detonator ($800). The Detonator has a 4′ magnesium and aluminum driver that provides crystal mids, while the low distortion bass is delivered by two passive radiators. The tweeter is isolated in its own enclosure that sits on top of the main unit. Overall frequency response is 65 Hz – 40 kHz. Although the top end is fully covered, I would suggest adding a subwoofer with these. Available in 6 colors, Adsum is taking orders now.
