You won’t be able to buy that concept for the near future, if ever, but you’ll be able to get your hands on an Ariel Nomad ($46k) a whole lot sooner.The new ultra-light off road buggy is made by the same guys who brought you the Ariel Atom. The Nomad features a welded roll-cage, a higher ride height, independent suspension, a manual six-speed trans and a long travel suspension. Because this guy is meant to handle less than ideal terrain you also get some thick, knobby off-road tires. Now here’s the one downfall, it’s only rear-wheel drive. Which quit frankly makes no sense to me. The Nomad is expected to go on sale this month, with deliveries starting in the summer.
