Their current offering is a Grovemade Walnut iPhone X Case ($99) that wraps your iPhone X in a beautiful walnut hardwood. The case is designed to add minimal bulk to your phone while providing ample protection. One thing to keep in mind is this case has a backplate that adheres directly to your phone with a single-use adhesive. If you remove it the adhesive will need to be reapplied.
If you’ve seen Hardgraft gear on Muted then you’ve seen some of the most beautiful everyday carry products available. Their latest iPhone X Cases are no exception. Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t show you one of our favorite Apple iPhone X Cases. The Apple iPhone X Leather Case In Saddle Brown ($49) is surprisingly one of the more affordable options on the list. As with other phones on the list, this leather-clad case fits snugly over the curves of your iPhone without adding much bulk. It’s made from specially tanned and finished European leather, so the outside feels soft to the touch and develops a natural patina over time. The machined aluminum buttons match the finish of the leather case, while a microfiber lining inside helps protect your iPhone. And you can keep it on all the time, even when you’re charging wirelessly. One concern is there is no mention if there is a raised screen edge to protect the phone against flat drops.
The phones in this section sacrifice some of the looks of the cases above to provide incredible protection. Whether you’re looking for phones that have been drop tested or can protect against moisture then we’ve got some great options for you.
First up for our heavy-duty iPhone X cases is the Otterbox Defender Series iPhone X Case ($31). These cases are bulkier than their stylish counterparts, but if you’re accident prone, they’re the way to go. The Defender will protect your phone from drops, dirt, and minor spills. It doesn’t come with a polycarbonate screen so you’ll need a screen protector but all the other features are nice. It features a solid internal shell with a resilient outer slipcover, and a holster the doubles as a kickstand for hands-free viewing. If you’re looking for a case that can keep up with your daily adventures, this is a great bet.
The Supcase Beetle Pro Series iPhone X Case ($23) is one of the lesser known brands, but what it lacks in notoriety, it makes up for in great specs. The Supcase is a full-body holster case with a built-in screen protector. Designed specifically for the iPhone X it features a dual layer, a shock-resistant case with a PC hard shell that protects against drops and accidental falls. While the front cover with built-in screen protector prevents scratches without compromising sensitivity. The case securely clips into a rotatable belt clip holster for hands-free convenience. And precise cutouts won’t interfere with smartphone functionality, while fold-out port covers keep out dust, debris, and moisture. I great all around case with an excellent price point.
The UAG Folio iPhone X Metropolis Case ($40) is another heavy-duty case with a great price point. The case was engineered to provide maximum protection with minimal weight, UAG’s Metropolis Series case features 360-degrees of coverage with a folio cover that doubles as a stand, and fuses an impact-resistant soft core with durable corner bumpers for complete drop and shock protection. UAG’s stylish design allows full access to the touchscreen and volume buttons, with oversized ports for compatibility with 3rd party charging cables.
UAG’s case incorporates feather-light construction with a tactile grip exterior which provides solid grip while using the device. It also provides wireless compatibility, allowing users to effortlessly access their wireless connections.
All of my family’s phones are wrapped in Speck cases. They offer a high degree of protection, come in a variety of colors and styles and are some of the better-looking cases in the heavy-duty section. If you’re looking for a clear iPhone X case the Speck iPhone X Presidio Clear Case ($40) is a great option. This Speck case is made from a dual-layer clear Impactium Clear Polycarbonate (ICP). The brand says that because it doesn’t have to worry about water protection it can focus on defending your phone against tougher stuff like drops, dust, and snow. The Lifeproof Next iPhone X Case is a new class of case from Lifeproof. It is fortified with their proprietary Hexprotect system. The system features six layers of next-level protection. These include a raised case front for drop and screen protection. An outer bumper that wraps the phones full perimeter. An inner mold which secures the phone and blocks dirt, while a speaker mesh stops dust in its tracks. A rigid case back adds additional drop protection and scratch protection to keep your case looking nice. And don’t worry about reaching for your lightning cable. The Lifeproof NËXT case lets you charge with a Qi wireless charging base with the case on.
