The Birchall and Taylor Reference 1 ($9500) was the creation of two watchmakers working together many late nights to come up with the ideal timepiece. The obsessed over every detail including materials, proportions, and engineering. The result was the reference 1. Some of these details include a crystal dome that was hand-fired in an oven at one thousand degrees creating a lustrous and rich appearance. The movement features a 29- jewel, ultra-thin, micro-rotor automatic movement. Bevels and Cotes de Geneve are hand-polished, and all parts are visible through the back of the case. The entire kit is wrapped in a classic 38mm 316L stainless steel case. The strap is a semi-matte alligator leather. Variable sizing is available to make sure your wrist size is accommodated. And if you want to change any of the colors or materials just ask, they’ll do the customizations for you.
