The BMW R69S Thompson By ER Motorcycles ($NFS) was commissioned by a German Doctor who wanted his own version of ER’s mobster build. The Result was the Thompson, whose name comes from the submachine gun favorited by gangsters in the 1920s. The latest ER build is compact, and reliable just like its namesake. Blaz, wanted to up his last build, so he made sure this new one hinted at history and craftsmanship, but also contained some of today’s modern tech. The bike ended up being a frankenstein made from various BMW components including a R69S frame, engine from an R100, rear wheel from an R50/5 and a swingarm from an R80. Basically everything else is custom.
The German custom bike shop, Kingston Customs has done it again with their redo of a classic Honda CX500 ($TBA). They started off by keeping the V-twin engine and getting rid of all the plastic.
