Chairs, by definition, should be pretty simple things. We just use them for sitting on after all. But, despite their limited breadth of usefulness, this is no excuse for not making them look awesome. In this regard, it is clear that the legendary American designer, Charles Eames, was singing from the same hymn sheet with his timeless classic, the DSW Chair which, such is its extraordinary excellence, is on permanent display in the Musuem of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Don’t try and sit on it though – the security guards get pretty mad! Originally released in 1948, the Charles Eames DSW Chair ($177) is a bit like a fine wine insomuch it has got better with age and it looks awesome in today’s contemporary homes so if you’re up for some new furniture, this iconic piece will be a good place to start.
The 3P Clock ($80) creates the illusion of a three dimensional cube on your wall. It was created through a collaboration between Robocut Studio, a digital fabrication company, and Baron Magazine. The clock measures 12 x 10 x 35″ and features a cherry wood finish, and black hands. The 3P will add interest to any room.
