Flytecam ($TBA) is another contender for the POV video camera space. It’s a 1080p shooter that comes with a rubberized body that is waterproof down to about 18 feet. This should save you the hassle of having to buy a waterproof case like other POV video cameras. Other specs include a 120-degree lens and it shoots 60fps at 720p. The Flytecam also comes with a battery with an expected life of 3 hours per charge. The specs put the Flytecam just above GoPro’s cheapest offering. The final price will determine whether Flytecam will be able to compete with GoPro. Pre-orders will be starting shortly.
