I don’t now why, but I absolutely love this car. I’m not sure if its pill shape, the almost 360-degree views, or the seemingly simultaneous retro-futuristic styling. Whatever it is, I love it. The Hemisferio Criativo Nimbus E-Car ($TBA) is a beautiful design study by that needs to become reality.
The Nimbus is a concept hybrid car that is made to not only handle long trips over a multitude of terrain, but also act as a commuter car for those short urban trips.
Nimbus features a 130Kw (180hp) engine lithium-ion battery that’s paired with a micro combustion generator which constantly charges the batteries.
Continuing the idea of economy the Nimbus is built with lightweight materials, including carbon-fiber, titanium and aluminum, to optimize energy consumption. It also has solar panels to create its own energy and regenerative brakes that recover and save kinetic energy.
Four selectable driving modes including Energy Saver, Standard Trip, Faster Cruise and 4WD, allow you to improve range and energy consumption when needed.
Additional features include an Auto-Pilot mode for cruise control, a removable 7″ touchscreen that acts as a central display and controller, bluetooth, wi-fi, usb ports, self-cleaning surfaces, anti-theft system, remote power blocker, and location detection.
Here’s hoping this awesome machine actually see the light of day.
