The Jolla Tablet ($209) is the worlds first crowdsourced tablet. I say that in the past tense because their campaign has been running for just three days and they’ve blown past their target by almost $700K. The tablet is targeting the iPad mini market and features very similar features. The one downside is a smaller battery 4300 mAh vs 6471 mAh in the mini, but the rest of the features are excellent. These include; the opensource Sailfish OS, 64-bit 1.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel CPU, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM + SD slot, 7.85″ 2048 x 1536 (330ppi) display, and 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras. If you’re interested their campaign is running for another 19 days, after that the Tablet will go for about $249 retail.
