If you haven’t already heard, Tesla has sold out of its PowerWall home battery system. Well now there looks like there’ll be other options on the horizon, including the new Mercedes-Benz Home Battery System ($TBA). The new batteries are expected to go on sale in September and will feature a 2.5kWh battery. The battery can be run in modules of up to eight batteries resulting in a maximum output of 20kWh. Daimler has started taking sign-ups from those who are interested in the new system, but only time will tell if theirs is as popular as Tesla’s offerings.
