Let’s just say you have so much cash that you’re running out of ways to spend it. Well, the team over at Schwinge might have a little something that’ll wet your whistle. How about a flying pyramid that looks like a spaceship. I’m talking about their Schwinge HYSWAS Tetrahedron Superyacht ($TBA). Once this superyacht gains enough speed, it’s lifted out of the water via side-mounted adjustable hydrofoils, which provides smooth long distance travel without the inconvenience of waves slamming into the side of the ship. An autopilot system controls roll forces and maintains foil born speed to help control pitch and heave. Even in the worst storms, this setup achieves virtually no slamming. Shwinge is working with a large superyacht yard to complete development of the project.
About Lee King
I live in a great city outside of Philadelphia and run Muted in my free time. Being close to a number of large metropolitan areas gives me a lot of inspiration for menswear and gear. Originally from Pittsburgh as well as a Suburban Detroit transplant I went to Michigan State University and spent most of my career managing global IT services for Pharmaceuticals. Besides mens clothing I enjoy, bonsai, my family, dogs and hanging by the pool.
