Shinola Bicycles ($2,000-$3,000) are hand built, custom-level bikes. The frames are produced in Wisconsin and the bikes are assembled in their Detroit workshop within the College for Creative Studies. They offer two bikes for guys. The Runwell, an 11-speed, low maintenance bike made for “city riding, commuting and errand running”. And the Bixby, a cruiser that uses a 3-speed Shimano hub and is made for urban riding in any weather condition. Check out this short about their operation.
