Purge is an imperial prison barge that is acting as a temporary home to 500 of the galaxy’s most ruthless rebels, killers, thieves, and scoundrels. When it breaks down in a part of space that is both distant and uninhabited, the passenger’s hopes of survival seem to lie with the seemingly abandoned Star Destroyer that is found derelict and drifting. A boarding party is sent from the Purge to scavenge for parts, but only half return and those who do bring with a horrendous disease that is so lethal within hours almost all those on the Purge suffer gruesome deaths that are too horrific to imagine. This space-set story is gripping, thrilling and you find yourself willing the Purge’s few survivors to stay alive. A must-have for fans who of both action and sci-fi literature.
