Nobody had ever seen anything quite like this movie when it was released a staggering 37 years ago and even with all the technology available today, there hasn’t been a movie since that captured the imagination of the world in quite the same way. Luke Skywalker is a young would be Jedi Knight who teams up with a cocky pilot, a wookie and a couple of droids to save the empire from the evil clutches of Darth Vadar. Written and directed by the genius that is George Lucas, starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher and with a stellar line up of supporting actors, if ever a movie deserved to be called a classic it’s this one.
