Imagine you are a cadet in a military school and discover that a condo developer wants to demolish it and build on top of it, this is the dilemma facing the proud cadets in Taps ($9). Based on the book by Devery Freeman, directed by Harold Becker and starring George C Scott, Timothy Hutton, Tom Cruise and Ronny Cox, this is a great guy movie as we see the dedication and fierce pride of the cadets as they fight for the life of their academy. Heartwarming and thought provoking, anyone with a cinch of national pride will love Taps. Plus you get to see Tom Cruise loose it in a great machine gun scene.
