The Twizy is Renault’s electric mini car, sold over seas. It fits two passengers riding tandem and has a 17 hp engine. The Renault Twizy Sport F1 Concept ($TBA) is a souped up version of that car using systems from their F1 racer. Such as Renault’s Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), which provides a power boost from the standard 17 horses to 97 hps. Now the boost is only available for 14 seconds but that should be plenty to tear it up. Even the steering wheel is taken directly from the Formula Renault 3.5 race car. By using two paddles on the steering wheel, you can release the energy stored by the KERS system. The Twizy Renault Sport Fi will be shown at major motor shows this year. Be sure to check it out.
About Lee King
I live in a great city outside of Philadelphia and run Muted in my free time. Being close to a number of large metropolitan areas gives me a lot of inspiration for menswear and gear. Originally from Pittsburgh as well as a Suburban Detroit transplant I went to Michigan State University and spent most of my career managing global IT services for Pharmaceuticals. Besides mens clothing I enjoy, bonsai, my family, dogs and hanging by the pool.
