The River House by Suyama Peterson Deguchi ($NFS) embraces the natural beauty of the mountain area that surrounds it. Built for a retired couple the home features a guest wing and extended outdoor living areas. It also features spectacular views of the river it sits above. The primary focal point on the exterior is an elongated concrete wall on the north side of the home that provides a structural backbone and base for the remaining wood, glass, metal, and plaster finishes. The shed roof that extends from the front offers a synergy between the indoors and the outside. The beautifully execute finishing touches including art and furnishings contribute to the serenity of the home.
About Lee King
I live in a great city outside of Philadelphia and run Muted in my free time. Being close to a number of large metropolitan areas gives me a lot of inspiration for menswear and gear. Originally from Pittsburgh as well as a Suburban Detroit transplant I went to Michigan State University and spent most of my career managing global IT services for Pharmaceuticals. Besides mens clothing I enjoy, bonsai, my family, dogs and hanging by the pool.
