Seiko has just released a “Black Series” of watches and they’re absolutely beautiful. The series was inspired by the world of night diving. The watch we’ll be looking at is the Seiko Prospex “Black Series” Limited Edition Chronograph Solar Diver’s Watch ($749). It has the model number SSC673P1 and if the price is a little steeper than you’re used to when dealing with Seiko’s you’ll see why after seeing the specs. The Chronograph Solar comes with a 44mm titanium case with a hard black coating and a screw back. It has a 200m water-resistance rating and utilizes a screw-down crown to prevent it from accidentally being pulled out. The engine is a solar powered Quartz movement that can run for six months on a full charge. Besides the time and date, the Seiko Chronograph includes three additional dials – a 60-minute chronograph, a 24-hour hand, and a charge indicator. The Seiko Prospex Black Series looks great and is a great diver’s watch or just one for everyday wear.
