This movie classic is a perfect example of how great storytelling and directing can elevate a creepy story into a real scary movie. Directed by John Demme and boasting outstanding performance from Jodie Foster as Starling and Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter, this movie elevated its stars to super stardom and has rightly become a modern classic.
